REVEALING photographs of a Harrow School art teacher have been emailed to scores of students.
Pictures of Joanne Salley, 32, a former model and TV presenter, reported to be semi-nude, sent to hundreds of boys at the fee-paying school, in High Street, Harrow.
Joanne Salley seen posing provocatively in just a tight pair of jeans, and in one she is draped over a bookcase crammed with tomes on art history.
The images of the former model were taken by a colleague, professional photographer and part-time photography teacher at the school, Fiona Corthine , were believed to have been shot on school grounds - in its art rooms. They were discovered by a student in the school's photography laboratory where they had been left on a memory stick.
They were passed on without prior agreement of Ms Corthine, who holds the copyright.
They were also emailed to dozens of pupils at fellow fee-paying school, Merchant Taylors', in Northwood, where Ms Salley was an art teacher for a year until last summer.
Voicing his support for Ms Salley, who previously dated England rugby star, Matt Dawson, Harrow headmaster, Barnaby Lenon, said: "Joanne Salley is a long-standing and successful art teacher at Harrow. The matter is being investigated."
Headmaster at Merchant Taylors' School, Stephen Wright, told the Observer: "Our pupils did receive the photographs but at present we have no idea how many.
"They were sent to predominantly older pupils, the majority of whom are over 16.
"A lot of our students know boys at Harrow and what has happened is beyond our control.
"Ms Salley was a fantastic teacher and I feel very sorry for her that her privacy has been violated and compromised in this way.
When Harrow staff noticed the stir, they came to know about the pictures, and have since demanded that all pupils delete the pictures.
"We are working closely with Harrow School in our investigations and at present, no complaints have been made by parents.
"How we deal with the matter depends on the outcome of our investigations."
The pictures are understood to have been distributed shortly before students took their GCSE art exams.
Ms Salley and Ms Corthine were unavailable for comment.
